Computers and Internet

The library uses an automated self-service system to manage access to the public computers. The system requires use of your library card number as a means of reserving a computer session for you. It also counts and times your sessions on the computer. Please remember to bring your library card.

If you do not have your card, or you are a visitor not eligible for a card, the staff can make you a reservation in your name if you present a valid picture ID, such as a driver’s license.

Staff will not look up library card numbers. If you have no library card and no picture ID you will not be able to use a computer. Proper identification is required in order to ensure that everyone has the same access.

Librarians are not available to provide detailed on-demand computer instruction. Computer novices should bring someone with them for assistance or should sign up for scheduled classes provided by the library. Please note the following ways that our staff can and cannot help by reading the
Computer Assistance Policy.

All branches provide Microsoft Office Professional Edition which includes MS Word, Excel, Access, and Publisher.
